Small river, small fish
On weekend, I traveled to Głucholazy, small town near the border of Poland and Czech republic. There's river in the town, called Biała Głucholaska. It comes from Czech republic, and enters Nysa Kłodzka in Poland. Fishing was not purpose of this trip. My goal was orienteering competition in Głucholazy. But I took my fly fishing gear, to explore local river in free time. The river is very photogenic. The bottom composed from find gravel, cobblestones and sand. Generally, river is shallow and average water level is beyond the knees. Only in occasional deep holes it is above 1,5 meters. Level at Głucholazy was 54 cm, flow 6 m3/s, temperature 14,5 C. I heard there's a lot of graylings in this river. I rigged my rod with small nymphs, which are very good for them. Very soon I got 3 graylings , immediatelly at first run I fished. There's definitely many of them. Unfortunately, all fish were small. I found one deeper spot, which looked like a home for bigger fish....
