Trout season closure. No trout, just waterfalls

Today is the last day of trout season in Poland.  I decided to spend it on lower section of Dunajec river, which is perfect for streamer fishing.  I really love streamer fishing, how I will live without it 5 months till 31th of January 2020? :-(

Unfortunately, river was very dirty. Maybe it was a result of recent heavy rain. Level at Gołkowice 160 cm and flow 40 m3/s, which is OK. But, the water was almost opaque. There's very minor chance that fish will see my fly.

But I had a backup plan. If fishing will be so-so, I planned to visit Obidza waterfall, and make few shots with tripod and Nikon DSLR camera.

There were no fish takes on streamer on lower Dunajec OS (C&R section).  I moved to the upper section in Krościenco nad Dunajcem.  The river looked even worse, like coffee with milk.

Anyway, I tried my favorite hole with streamer. To my surprise, fish took my fly so aggressively, almost pulled rod out of my hand.  Fish jumped like a rocket, became airborne, and..... shit! It's so frustrating feeling, when line tension suddenly released. I lost it.
Next few attempts were unsuccessful. I decided to change tactics, and use Euro nymphing rod.

I attached "Parkinson" as anchor fly, and small brown nymph with orange head on the dropper.
Soon, I got another trout.  But, I missed to grab it with landing net , and fish gone.  Shit!
In that fishless day , in the worst conditions, I got two strikes, and lost both chances.

Nevertheless, I continued to cover the water. Fish! Yes, nice one, and this is not a trout.
I carefully netted it.  A nase! Chondrostoma nasus.  45 cm, good size. First in this year. There's a lot of them in Dunajec, but they mostly take nymphs. I avoided nymph fishing most of the season, and that's why we never met before. Lovely fish.

and his mouth like a shark mouth ! but no teeth

I wanted to catch another nase. They swim in shoals, where's one caught, there's more of them.
But it didn't happen.  I gave up fishing, and headed to waterfall.

When I came to the spot, there was another photographer. We talked a little bit about photo equipment and related stuff.

I tried different positions, but my favourite is from the top of the cliff. I waited about one hour, for better light conditions.

It was very hot day. I tired, and headed to home after photo session.
Trout season closure happened without trout catch. But, I got some nice fish and nice shots.
